Swiss Thrashers CATARACT launch landing page and first song off upcoming new album 'Killing The Eternal'! PDF Print E-mail

Swiss Thrashers CATARACT have launched a landing page that includes pre-order deals for the new album Killing The Eternal and that is featuring a brand new song.
Surf over to http://www.metalblade.com/cataract/ and listen to 'Reap The Outcasts', the first single taken off the new album Killing The Eternal!

Comments CATARACT: 'Reap The Outcasts' is a great representation of our new full length "Killing The Eternal"! It has a lot of variation packed in one song; crushing guitars and pounding drums alongside pissed off vocals. It's one of the last songs we wrote before we went to the studio and it sums up very well what Cataract is all about, from our very first album up to the last one. "Killing The Eternal" is all about catching the intense feeling of a live show, strip off the unnecessary lengths and deliver Cataract's trademarks in one hard hitting bit. Enjoy!

Killing The Eternal was recorded at the Antfarm studios in Aarhus, Denmark under the direction of long-time band producer Tue Madsen.

The limited first Digipak edition of Killing The Eternal will feature 13 songs including the bonus track 'Spawned By Illusions'.

In Europe you can decide between the regular cd, the limited edition Digibook including bonus track and bonus-dvd, a bundle including the Digibook and a brand new Flag and the limited 2-Gatefold-LP!
The limited edition Digibook includes a full live-DVD. The DVD was recorded with multiple cameras at Summer Breeze festival 2008 and includes the whole 45-minute set! The dvd will feature an additional two video clips.

Comments singer Martin van Drunen on the concept of 'On Divine Winds': "This time Hail of Bullets takes on the Pacific War. The expansion of the Empire of Japan throughout Asia, introducing a full scale war using all forces combined. The massive strike back of the Americans, whose marines bravely fought many tough and bloody battles on now forgotten insulate islands spread throughout the whole Pacific. This led to desperate Japanese defense tactics such as Kamikaze, human bullets and suicidal Banzai charges. Until finally, incendiary bombings brought the empire to its knees."

Architects (UK): exclusive premier of their new single “Day In Day Out” on BBC Radio 1 Rock Show and announce new album title
BBC Radio 1’s prestigious Rock Show, hosted by Daniel P Carter will be exclusively premiering the brand new single from Architects entitled “Day In Day Out” on Monday 30th August from midnight to 2 AM. Don’t fret if you can’t stay up that late or aren’t based in the UK you can still hear the new single & show online for the following week at www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006wq4s
The digital single “Day In Day Out” due to be released on 27th September via all digital platforms will be the first single to be taken from the band’s eagerly awaited new, Steve Evetts (Dillinger Escape Plan) produced, album “The Here And Now” which is due to hit the shelves in early 2011
Architects singer Sam Carter comments on the new release “‘Day In Day Out’ is going to be our first single & will also be the opening track and the perfect introduction to our new album. Lyrically it touches on a running theme through the album which is basically our lives and the way we lead them. We spend a lot of time away from home to do what we do and it doesn't always feel like it’s worth it. The song is questioning what we do, but it is also very positive and is about keeping your head up even when things aren't going your way. Parts of our new record will definitely surprise some people, but I think this song has more familiar aspects of Hollow Crown whilst still showing glimpses of where we've taken our song writing on the new record.”

The Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF) kicked off Thursday, August 26th with a special tribute to the 2010 SSMF Festival Honoree SLASH (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) at the House Of Blues.
MÖTLEY CRÜE's Nikki Sixx, MOTÖRHEAD's Lemmy Kilmister and ALICE IN CHAINS' Jerry Cantrell gave speeches about Slash who then talked about his life in West Hollywood. According to Examiner.com, Sixx talked about knowing Slash before he was in Guns N' Roses then how his band Motley Crue took them on the road with them as support for one of their first tours. He said that Slash was there when he "died" and how they both are still supporting the same hair style for 25 years. Kilmister talked about knowing and hanging with Slash on the Sunset Strip. Cantrell spoke about meeting Slash and giving him a demo tape of his band Alice In Chains before they were signed. He added that he saw Slash throw it away, but once they made it on the scene, they became friends and mentioned how much he admired him.
Slash remarked on stage: "Picking up the guitar for the first time in West Hollywood, then learning how to play in West Hollywood, starting a band in West Hollywood, and making it in West Hollywood. Getting a record deal at Geffen on Sunset which was the same place my dad used to work at when I was a kid. So I never left here. Everything in my life that is of any importance started in West Hollywood. And the Sunset Strip is like… such a part of me. So to be honored by the Sunset Strip is just a major, major thing for me.” August 26th was officially declared Slash Day in West Hollywood.
